ABOUT ME
Simon P Cross is a photographer, musician and graphic designer based in Bristol.
He has been playing with cameras and all sorts of instruments since his early teens, and has a passion for all things creative.
He grew up in the Devon countryside where there wasn't much to do, so music and photography became a very a big part of his life. He would always be writing a new song or out taking pictures of anything and everything. Always looking to experiment with different techniques and styles.
His father gave him his first guitar and camera at the age of twelve, and originally hated the guitar because it seemed like a waste of time but loved the camera, and went straight out into the Devon countryside to take pictures.
After spending hours on end in the darkroom at Ivybridge Community College producing pin hole camera images, he would eventually go on to study at Plymouth University where he would study all forms of photography from fashion to landscapes, commercial to experimental and conventional to digital.
Although studying photography, he has always had a side of graphic design, playing with fonts and compositions over photographs to create deeper messages, so that viewer has more to unlock.
